Set yourself apart with an About Us page
Note: We’ve provided some information on why you should have an About Us page and what you might want to include on it. We highly recommend deleting all the content on this page and replacing it with your own wonderful words and images. Otherwise you’ll just look silly. To edit from your control panel, click the Website Content tab, choose View Web Pages, and click Edit next to About Us.
Why have an About Us page? With thousands upon thousands of stores living on the internet, it’s important to set your business apart. An About Us page helps shoppers become familiar with you and your brand. Familiarity leads to trust, and trust leads to conversion. Everyone wins!
You want to give shoppers a reason to buy from you over someone else, plus at the same time establish that you’re a professional online merchant and not some weirdo with a GeoCities site. Just think about what makes your journey to e-commerce unique, endearing, funny or memorable. It could be the reason you decided to get into the business, how you left a terrible job to strike out on your own, or something interesting about the products you sell.
